Ashley was super nice, easy to communicate with, and always willing to answer questions. The 4 * rating is because there was either misinformation given that told us we qualified for a cetrain kind of financing option but then couldnt get it or something changed on the leanders end. Either way we were left in a panic as we tried to find a new plan after a month if thinking every thing was fine. There was no explanation from Fairway as to why we suddenly couldn't get the first option.

Ashley and her team are first class professionals. We were able to take advantage of a low mortgage rate that only Fairway offered for refinancing (local Winston Salem banks could not compete) . The online application process was user friendly, and it was easy to get the required documents to Ashley and team. They had us ready to close within 3 weeks without any hiccups. I appreciated how accessible and responsive Ashley and her team was (ie 6am on Saturday mornings were no problem!).

I didn’t feel like I was given much information in the beginning. I would have felt much more prepared to purchase a home if I was given the information that I was given after an offer was accepted. The team was great at responding to my questions and Cara did a fantastic job keeping me informed during the acceptance and underwriting process. I feel that the training that was given to me after an offer was accepted should be given to first time buyers when you get pre-approve them.

I believe that she was overly influenced by her Compliance Dept (underwriting). She did EXACTLY as they asked but they were rebid in their interpretation of Freddie Mac/Mey regulations. As it turns out they accepted the documents we could produce instead of the ones they asked for (and we could not produce). This was a clear example of OVERCOMPLIANCE and I have seen many examples of it in the Securities Industry.

Having never gone this process before we have nothing to compare you with but we really appreciated everyone getting back to us instantly when we had questions and we had a lot of questions. I think most of the issues that arose had nothing to do with any particular person or company. THERE WAS A HURRICANE, FOR GOODNESS SAKE. I am so happy and excited that Ashley McKenzie and her office helped me and my family with our loan process. Everyone was amazing up until near the end of the loan once my loan left Paige and I was working with Katie, she wasn't as nice. She was rude to me and also to my husbands employer and although we worked through it many times she made me feel like we needed to give up and not go any further with this process because she was so rude at times. I loved working with everyone else.

My biggest reason for recommending Ashley is her availability. She always got back to me quickly (within minutes to a few hours at most).
